Started with Sugar Suite v3.0.1b July 1, 2005. First impression is that it looks good, with lots of useful functionality, although maybe somewhat overwhelming with the large number of tabs/modules.

Ran into a couple bugs and disappointments pretty quickly:

1235540 Releases cannot be added
Applied fix and it works.

1208942 Email reminders not being sentq
Not sure if this is the same as what I have but assigning a task does not generate email reminder.

New project task form doesn't work (block under shortcuts). Have to add tasks using the create task button instead :(

1218905 Date Due in Project Task works only using 24 hour time.
Project task due date field does not work. Always saves as 1-1-2000. Change your dates to military style and it works; how convienient.

Can't create or edit campaigns. Added this one to the Sugar bug tracking system.

Help system?
Irritating to have help buttons on every page that link to a download area where you can get the pdf user manual. User manual is pretty thin but better than nothing. So, the help buttons look nice and set the expectation of context sensitive help but really don't help.

Products?
I was expecting to have some simple way to describe products, sales, etc. I guess that it makes sense that these areas would be duplicating the accounting functions and adding quite a bit of complexity. But wouldn't most companies with multiple products separate their sales activities by product line? How about Quickbooks integration of some kind? That would be a nice addition.

Mass mailing
I was thinking with the mass email campaign capabilities, there would be an easy way to send regular newsletters or other announcements to some subset of contacts. There isn't any clear way that I found to make a subset of users. Looks like the campaign module does some of this. Possibly the new version will improve on this. Also need to check into the

Nothing here that is a show stopper, and I expect that I can get the email reminders working with some persistence and won't need the help system in a couple of weeks.
