I spent a little more time with the Zimbra toolkit recently. It still looks impressive, but unfortunately there appears to be a good bit of work involved with just figuring out how to make it work.

If you would like to get past the first step of getting just the parts that you need without the rest of the huge download that includes the email system, you can download the extracted part with (thin) documentation below. The jars package below is not necessary for client-side development, but if you want to get the standard binaries needed for building (like ant), they are available here. The java code from Zimbra is available in the ZimbraAjax download.

At this point, I expect that one of the other javascript controls that I looked at about a week ago will probably be the choice for us.
